In KS1 we provide a stimulating and enriching curriculum following on from the Foundation Stage. All National Curriculum subjects are covered in year 1 and 2 but modelled into the cross curricular topic webs which interlink the children's learning to make it meaningful and fun. We believe that learning takes place outside the classroom just as much as inside it. All classes go on trips every half term which relate to our termly topic.
Creative arts feature high on our list of priorities and the children are encouraged to speak and participate actively in assemblies and productions. They quickly become confident speakers, singers and performers. We also work closely with our school partners, these consist of drama, dance, ict, music and art specialists. These outside professionals continue to extend and enrich our curriculum.
