We have had an amazing couple of weeks with the Christmas Concerts this term. All the children had been working hard memorising their lines, performing songs and learning about the birth of Jesus.
EYFS performed Christmas songs and gave us a stellar recital of the Christmas story.
KS1 pulled off a brilliant performance of the nativity in front of their families along with songs and dancing. We also had the staff choir perform a classic Christmas song ‘It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.’
KS2 amazed their audience with their concert. Destina and Cheneilia in Year 3 wrote all about it in their RE lesson:
SJB put on the concert to worship God and bring together the community by sharing the story of Jesus and how it is celebrated around the world. Firstly, year four started the concert with ‘Little Drummer Boy’ in French. Next, year five sang ‘Silent Night’ in German. Afterwards, it was year three who performed their piece on ‘Aussie Jingle Bells’ (which was really good!). Finally, year six performed ‘Feliz Navidad’ in Spanish. The best part of the concert was the flute played by Miss Singleton.
Thank you to everyone who attended the concerts. It was wonderful to see so many families.
