Children throughout the school are encouraged to continue their learning at home in a variety of ways with the guidance of parents, or independently. Homework helps to consolidate learning in class and makes a link between learning in school and continued learning at home.  Please take a look at the guidance on homework by reading our homework policy.  This also forms part of our St John the Baptist Home School Agreement. Homework is discussed and handed out every Thursday and is due back in on Tuesday when it is reviewed in class.

Weekly homework includes: Daily reading, which is recorded in the reading log books; Daily practise of spellings and times tables/number facts; Weekly Maths and English homework. Please read our St John the Baptist School Homework Policy for more information.

At St John the Baptist students have access to a wide range of stimulating resources and ICT equipment to excite and enthuse learning. To support with curriculum learning at home students can access additional learning resources such as Espresso. We also recommend the following websites on our Recommended website list

We do run a small homework club for some children.  If you think your child would benefit from this club, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
