Pupils visit Tramontana Brindisa Tapas Restaurant
On Monday 7th March, some of our KS2 pupils were given an amazing opportunity to taste Spanish tapas in one of our local Spanish restaurants, Tramontana Brindisa Tapas Restaurant in Curtain Road, Shoreditch. The children were able to try Spanish dishes, such as Spanish omelette, croquetas (dough made out of Spanish ham and flour), typical alioli and bravas chips ( sauces made of mayonnaise, garlic and spice). They were also able to try a large selection of ham, chorizo and cheeses. The focus of this activity was to involve the students in the Spanish culture and help them to understand the importance of learning a Modern Foreign Language. The manager, Ramon, and the waitress Laura, both native Spanish speakers, were delighted to answer questions from the children about the language and the Spanish culture. Tramontana Brindisa Tapas were very pleased to host this great activity and are looking forward to inviting us back very soon.
