Year 3 & 4 were lucky enough to have a Spanish Cooking session in school this week. David, from Pencil & Fork Tapas Club, came in to school to teach them about cooking different kinds of tapas. They learnt about vegetables in Spanish, and cooked Gazpacho – a fresh drink made out of tomatoes, onions, green pepper, garlic, water oil and salt. They had so much fun cooking the dish and were learning the names of the vegetables in Spanish. Some of them wrote the recipe out in Spanish, using the correct pronunciation. They tucked into their meals for lunch – something different from their usual school dinners.
