This week has been Work Week at St John the Baptist. Work Week is a high-impact, week-long programme of work and career-related activities for all the children from Nursery through to Year 6. It develops children’s awareness, knowledge and skills for the world of work and adult life and includes opportunities for children to engage with real workplaces and world of work visitors.
The Dog’s Trust came in to talk to Year 2 to talk about how to look after dogs. Cherry Tree and Holly Tree Class also visited Shoreditch Fire Station. Year 3 visited the Bank of England to learn about money. Elm Tree and Maple Tree visited Integreon and Linklaters. We had a visitor come in to talk about car maintenance and demonstrate to the children how to change a tyre. Reception had a special visit from the Metropolitan Police! We’ve also had visits from Google, Harvey Nichols and Thames 21.
